  • Honour God for a good visit to Namibia last month.  Submit the upcoming CDC Conference in Magaliesburg unto God, safe travels for all, messages of speakers to touch hearts, etc.

  • Praise our Deliverer for ongoing ministry in the Region. Trust HIM for a full time secretary in the office and for the right people needed in leadership positions in some countries in the SR.

EAST INDIAN OCEAN ISLAND REGION

  • Praise the Lord for faithful staff and volunteers serving all over the Island Region. Trust HIM for wisdom and provision to pioneer Reunion, Seychelles and Nation C./Mayotte successfully also for enough funds to do our ministry well.
  • Honour the Provider for sustaining the work on the islands. Pray that He will protect all staff, volunteers and Board members who work with YFC on the different islands.
  • Glorify our Father for many open doors for ministry. Ask Him for wisdom for Ravo in his daily tasks.
  • We are grateful for Brian and Melissa Verdugo’s involvement in pioneering YFC in the Seychelles. Submit their work unto our Provider.

YOUNG LEADERS [YL] DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Anne Musya-Ngwiri [Gilbert]

  • Admire God for the resources we have to run this programme. Pray that this 2 year young leaders development programme will bear much fruit.
  • Honour our Father for His guidance to Anne. Intercede for her for wisdom in restructuring the YL Programme.
  • We are grateful for faithful young people in this programme. Ask Jesus to empower new graduates to stay committed and multiply themselves.
  • Trust our Father for African Young Leaders coordinators in all the countries YFC is working in.

 

OPERATION PIONEER

  • Pray that effective YfC ministry will start and continue in Cameroon, Central African Republic, Nation C. & Mayotte, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Reunion, Seychelles, Sudan, Tanzania/Zanzibar and Togo. Ask our Father to raise nationals up to spearhead the ministry in the various nations.
  • Ask God for wisdom for the countries or offices that twinned up with these 10 nations. [Guinea – Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria – Cameroon, Benin – Central African Republic, Ghana – Togo, Reunion – Reunion, Kenya – Tanzania/Zanzibar, Rwanda & Burundi – DR Congo, Uganda – Southern Sudan, Madagascar – Nation C./Mayotte and Island Region Office – Seychelles.] Praise Jesus for the progress made in Togo, Reunion, Zanzibar, Southern Sudan, Nation C and Seychelles.
  • We are grateful for the progress made in this project. Trust our Provider for funds to execute pioneering; and that the nations in Africa will be able to contribute towards this project. Submit also the logistical resources needed unto our Lord.
  • Stand against every force of darkness withstanding the Pioneering Initiative and intercede for peace and stability in these nations.

G-21 NOW Regional Competency Development Conferences

4 Conferences to empower, motivate and mobilise staff of the different regions on the continent:

17-23 Nov 2012 South Africa; 10-14 Feb 2013 Rwanda; 8-12 September 2013 Mauritius; February 2014 Francophone Region.

  • Trust the Lord to make it possible for us to host every conference and make a way for staff to attend it.
  • We are grateful for the way God provides for the Southern Africa Conference this far. Submit the organising and the preparations of this conference unto Him, wisdom and guidance for those who need it, safe travels for all, good health, etc.
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to give His messages to the guest speakers and prepare the hearts of the listeners.

ANGOLA

  • Bless the Lord for protecting Em, Sebastian, Jiska and Deborah in a recent car accident. Pray for the Competency & Development Conference later this month in South Africa. Pray for the success of this conference and that we will implement what we learn.
  • We are grateful for the successful holiday program we had with the standard 7 students who are done with primary school. Pray that they will implement what they’ve heard and that they will know the Lord Jesus.
  • Praise our Master for good working relations between us and schools in Mochudi and Gaborone. Trust the Lord for good results for those writing exams.
  • Pray for Summer Camp next month. For the sponsors, young leaders and transport for campers.

BURKINA FASO

  • We are grateful for our board members. Ask the Father for funding to renovate our buildings.
  • Pray that Paul and his team will be able to make YFC an instrument that transforms the young people of this nation into the image of Jesus Christ.
  • Thank God that the radio station YFC is involved with is reaching many. Trust the Spirit to speak into the hearts of young listeners to change their ways.
  • We are grateful for the smooth running of the primary education institution. Intercede for Paul, his family, staff, board members and volunteers, for physical and spiritual well-being.

BURUNDI

Freddy Tuyizere [Marie-Josee]

  • Ask the Lord for wisdom and provision so that in cooperation with Rwanda would be able to pioneer the Democratic Republic of the Congo successfully.
  • We are grateful for a successful opening ceremony of the Gitega International Academy. Stand with us in prayer for the clinic in Gitega to open in January 2013.
  • Glorify the King of kings for the progress in the construction of the primary school and clinic in Cibitoke. Pray for Claudine, a new volunteer who joined our staff in Bujumbura.
  • Bless the Lord for wonderful visits of friends and colleagues from all over the world. Trust Jesus that the solar power at Gitega International Academy will work 100%.
  • Thank Jesus for healing many of our children who suffered from illnesses. Ask our Provider for enough funds to buy a ministry vehicle and cover ministry costs.

  • We are grateful for a volunteer from New Zealand who is helping with the Assembly Training they organize from time to time for parliamentarians. Ask the Spirit to speak into the lives of these parliamentarians.

GUINEA BISSAU

KENYA

  • Glorify God for those who are supporting our work in Kenya. Stand with us in prayer for finances for ministry costs as well as staff welfare; pray especially that the Fundraiser later this month will be successful.
  • Praise the Lord for the staff and volunteers serving in the ministry and for the work they are doing. Commit our need for volunteers/interns to serve next year for a year of ministry with us into the hands of the Father.
  • We are grateful for the Bible study group for criminals in the Kibera slums. Intercede for them to be transformed to the likeness of Christ.

LESOTHO

  • We are grateful for the foundation of the Youth Centre that was laid with the help of YFC Canada and ex-soldiers whoa re volunteering with us. Ask Jesus that we would be able to help these ex-soldiers and that they will make a positive contribution in the community.

MADAGASCAR

  • Glorify the Lord for His provision despite the various hassles we face. Pray for God’s protection over the staff and the ministry in this time of insecurity in Madagascar.

MALAWI

  • Praise the Lord for 30 young people who showed up for our introductory Choose to Wait meeting. Intercede for these young people to be faithful in their decisions to stay sexually pure.
  • Glorify the Father for upcoming Summer Camp. We trust the Lord for 250 young people. Pray for Fire leading this year’s camp.

NIGER

REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

  • Ask the Lord for wisdom and provision so that we in cooperation with Burundi  would be able to pioneer the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
  • Glorify God for committed staff & volunteers serving in YfC Rwanda. Trust the Lord for enough funds and resources to do effective youth ministry.
  • Praise the Lord that 700 children can attend Kigali Christian School [KCS]. Pray that we would be able to give daily meals to the students at KCS.
  • Honour the Father for the new water tanks. Intercede for the students at the Leadership School to have a deep relationship with Jesus and to be obedient to His Word.
  • We are thankful for the many open doors for ministry in schools in our country. Stand with us in prayer for the women in the AAA programme to become self-sustainable in order for them to support their families.

SENEGAL

  • Praise Jesus for our 3 young leaders reaching youth. Pray for more full time staff and volunteers.
  • We are grateful for some National Board members. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct us to more people who can serve as Board members and who will be committed to the ministry of YfC.
  • Trust our Father for enough finances and resources to do effective ministry and His guidance to start a Youth Centre.
  • We need much wisdom to start a project for street children and guidance regarding the administration of our ministry.

SEYSCHELLES

  • Praise Jesus for the development in the Seychelles pioneering process. Continue to entrust it into God’s hands.
  • Honour the Father for Brian & Melissa Verdugo’s input regarding ministry development on the island. Intercede for them for wisdom and guidance regarding youth work in the Seychelles.

UGANDA

  • Ask Him for wisdom and provision so that we would be able to pioneer  Southern Sudan successfully and ask for peace and stability in Uganda.
  • Glorify God that we could reach 2 818 young people of whom 212 gave their lives to Christ and 786 pledged to abstain from sex until marriage. Entrust the lost and all who’ve been reached with the Gospel unto God.
  • We honour the Lord for expanding our services in families through operation Hannah. Trust the Father for excellence, wisdom and understanding for our children in the Starfish Scholarship Programme.
  • Honour the Faithful One for committed ministry partners. Ask HIM for enough funds to do our ministry well and also for more people to partner with us.
  • Appreciate the King of kings for normal deliveries for the teenagers in our care. Please pray for more opportunities in schools and communities.

ZAMBIA

John Kaniki [Florence] – Prayer Coordinator

  • We are grateful for our National Board members. Intercede for them for wisdom and ask for more members, also ask the Spirit for a person who can serve as ND as well as full time staff members and volunteers.
  • Praise the Lord for the income we receive from renting the house in Sekela Road. Trust our Provider for finances to cover ministry costs and that we would be able to travel to South Africa for the Competency Conference.
  • Admire the Almighty One for the opportunities YFC Mpulungu have in brining the Gospel to youth. Entrust the Stemmet family and their colleagues unto the Lord.
  • Thank God for a few committed volunteers. Pray that the Road Map for ministry from now to February 2013 will help us to evaluate our ministry.

ZIMBABWE

Sheunesu Masuka [Susan]

Susan Masuka [Sheunesu] – Prayer Coordinator

  • Appreciate our Father for keeping us and the YFC properties safe. Pray that God will keep YFC Zimbabwe true in serving our nation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that we will have the necessary resources to do it.
  • Glorify Jesus for faithful Board members. Pray that our young people will grow spiritually and that they will be serious with their studies as they go into exam time.
  • We are grateful for all our ministry opportunities. Intercede for our water situation to be resolved and for a good rainy season for Zimbabwe this year.
  • Thank the Lord for being Ebenezer to us. Trust Him for enough people to make us of the Willow park campsite, also that we would be able to do some crucial renovations and for 2 persons to serve as campsite managers.
  • Submit the upcoming Competence Development Conference in SA unto God, finances to attend, safe travels, etc.
