  • Praise Jesus for all the work we could do in April. Bring Mpho’s upcoming trip to Zimbabwe & Botswana unto God and that good assessment would be done for the next project.
  • Exalt our High Priest for safe journeys for Mpho to the Netherlands and for EJ & Mpho to Lesotho. Entrust the World wide Regional Directors conference 11-17 May and YEPT (Young Evangelist Pioneering training) from 15-22 May meeting in Magaliesburg into God’s care.

EAST AFRICA REGION

East Africa Director: Jean Baptiste Mugarura [Marina]

  • Currently JB is on much needed family leave. Intercede for complete healing for Marina and for strength and stamina for JB and the rest of the family.
  • Bring David Kadalie & Anne Musya-Ngwiri, who are standing in for JB in his region, unto the Spirit for wisdom and guidance.
  • Appreciate the Holy One for strong ministry across the East Africa Region. Trust Him to enable staff, volunteers and board members to reach the youth of their nations.
  • Continue bringing Burundi‘s Presidential elections end of this month unto Jesus, praying for the pre-election violence to stop and safety for citizens.

  • Praise the Lord for faithful staff and volunters serving all over the Island Region. Trust HIM for wisdom and provision to pioneer Reunion and Nation C./Mayotte, also for enough funds to do their ministry well.
  • Honour the Father for every opportunity we have to proclaim the Gospel on the different islands. Pray that He will protect staff, volunteers and Board members who work here.
  • Entrust Ravo and all his travels this month to South Africa and Canada unto God and that he will have a fruitful time wherever he goes.

  • Lift up in prayer the Ebola virus outbreak –, eradication of the disease, wisdom for the health workers, protection for people, opening up of borders, etc.

YOUNG EVANGELIST PIONEERING TRAINING

A Conference for Young Evangelists to pioneer new areas

15-22 May 2015

  • Pray for 12 delegates coming from 8 countries, visas to be granted, safe travels and prepared hearts.
  • Ask the Spirit to guide the guest speakers in their presentations and to interact with the delegates in a life-changing way.
  • We are thankful for the progress in organizing the conference this far. Trust God for the rest of the organizing, reminding us of things forgotten, good health and safety for all at the conference, fruitful time, etc.
  • Pray that this conference and the 12-month continuation of it will have a huge impact in the ministry of YfC in Africa.

ANGOLA

  • Bless the Lord for good visits from previous European volunteers recently. Trust Jesus to grant us favour with the Home Affairs office who is dealing with exemption permits for the Rabie couple, Maruping and Em.
  • Exalt our Father for enabling us to reach youth in schools, Drop In Centre, Bible clubs, pre-school, etc. Pray that we will be able to fix the roof of the Tapologo Day Care Centre soon after termites destroyed the wooden rafters.
  • We are grateful for a good break during the Easter long weekend. Intercede for spiritual growth for the youth who made commitments and obedience to all the messages that they’ve heard.
  • Thank Yahweh-Jireh for providing for our ministry and for some rain. Ask Him for enough rain to fill up the reservoirs, even if it is the end of the rainy season.

BURKINA FASO

  • Ask the Lord for wisdom and provision so that in cooperation with Rwanda we would be able to pioneer the Democratic Republic of the Congo successfully.

  • We are grateful for the difference that we make in the lives of nearly 1 00 children in the different school projects. Pray for a reliable electricity source for the schools and the Homes of Hope.
  • Glorify the King of kings that we could open the Makamba House of Hope. Trust Him for enough funds for the Makamba project as well as for the completion of all other building projects.
  • Praise our Provider that He is faithful in His provision to YfC Burundi. Continue to pray for a committed person to serve as headmaster at Gitega International Academy.

  • Praise God for wonderful results that our Zoe school got – the 10th best primary school in the country with a 100% pass rate! Submit all the learners unto the Father for salvation and spiritual growth.

GHANA

GUINEA

  • Exalt our King for the partnership with Scripture Union and 180 kids that could be reached at a children’s camp. Pray for spiritual growth for them and for safety during the school holidays.

NIGER

  • Intercede for an end to the extremist attacks on Christians and churches.
  • Praise the Lord for a few National Board of Trustees members. Intercede for them for wisdom and for new members to be added.

  • We are grateful for the YfC School and that children get education here. Trust the Spirit to enable teachers to bring children to Him and that the efforts to disciple youth in church youth groups will be fruitful.

NIGERIA

REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

  • Bring all peoples living in SA to the Throne of Grace, for xenophobic attacks to stop for-ever and for healing and comfort for those affected by it.
  • Thank God for the Wendell & Eulinda Smith who took up leadership at the Cyara Training Centre. Submit SA Leadership team, the Board members, staff & volunteers unto Him, for guidance in their daily tasks and to bring young people to Christ.
  • Exalt our Creator for many youth being reached at camps and holiday clubs this past month. Pray for spiritual growth and to implement what they’ve heard from us.
  • We are grateful for the 3-year lease that YfC Amathunzi could secure on the farm they are ministering from. 3 New schools opened up for ministry thus we need more staff & volunteers also more bookings for the lodge to sustain the ministry.
  • YfC George Options is grateful for the Absa Bank partnership for 2015. Ask our Healer for complete healing for Abongile [leukemia] and Ashley [involved in a truck accident] and comfort for the loved ones of Tiisetso, an Ithemba member in 2001/2 who died in a train crash.

REUNION

SIERRA LEONE

Favour Conteh – Prayer Coordinator

  • Intercede for wisdom and guidance for our nation so that we would be able to completely get free from the Ebola infection and its influence on the lives of many.
  • Appreciate the Almighty One for committed volunteers, Board and staff members. Trust Him to enable all of us to reach youth like never before and to continue helping people who suffered greatly during the Ebola outbreak.
  • We are grateful that the schools and educational institutions re-opened after being closed for 9 months due to Ebola. Pray that students will be studious in continuing with their education.
  • Thank God that the Operation Hannah prayer ministry is going strong. Intercede for young people to not get discouraged, to keep themselves safe and be protected, embracing abstinence as a lifestyle.
  • Glorify the Father for His care and protection upon us, especially with the Ebola crisis and that we could minister to many. Continue to lay all our ministry needs in front of Him and to connect us with like-minded partners.
  • Bring Abu and his family unto the Holy Spirit for comfort after his mother died.

SOUTHERN SUDAN

  • Pray for political & economic stability – wisdom for the government and a spirit of cooperation among the citizens.
  • Praise Jesus for Uganda’s willingness to pioneer Southern Sudan. Entrust the pioneering and ministry development process into God’s hands, especially the need for full time workers.

SWAZILAND

Bongani Dlamini [Khumbuh] Thobile Motsa-Soita [Stephen] – Prayer Coordinator

  • Honour the Father for a few faithful National Board members. Submit them to the Father to take the work to the next level, also for more commitment and new members.
  • Bless the Lord for ongoing ministry. Ask God to enable us to implement the sports programme we are planning and that the school programme that will start later this month will be fruitful.
  • We are grateful that we got land where we can build our own youth centre. Trust our Provider to sort out the issues that is a hindrance in developing the place.
  • Bring our need for more volunteers and resources for the ministry in Swaziland unto Jesus.

TANZANIA & ZANZIBAR

Ministry coordinator: Pascal Nyulahe [Esther] Esther Mtonga – Prayer Coordinator

  • Pascal & Esther’s son Clifton was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease. Pray for complete healing for him, for strength for his parents and provision for everything needed.
  • Entrust the pioneering process of Zanzibar into God’s hands, also favour with the government, as we need to register.
  • We are grateful for committed staff working together in unity. Intercede for guidance for all of them in their daily tasks and ask for more international and local volunteers to be added.
  • Thank the Lord for very committed board members. Bring them before the Throne of Grace for wisdom as they serve alongside us.
  • Extol the King of king for the difference our school is making in the lives of students. Pray that the students will draw closer to Him and wisdom for the teachers in dealing with them.

TOGO

  • Thank the Lord for willing people serving on an YfC committee. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct them to people who can serve as National Board members.
  • Honour the Father for enabling Josue to visit Togo recently. Trust God for the right people to serve as full time staff.

UGANDA

Miriam Koote

Petua Nankya – Prayer Coordinator

  • Ask Him for wisdom and provision so that we would be able to pioneer Southern Sudan successfully.
  • Glorify God for the team of 8 young people serving with us and getting leadership and discipleship training. Entrust them unto God so that they will make a difference in the lives of the youth they are working with.
  • Praise our Provider for looking after us and the commitment from Board members, staff and volunteers. Trust Him to continue to provide everything needed for ministry.
  • Appreciate the Father that Mirembe and Suubi Houses can give a safe place to girls in difficult circumstances. Pray for wisdom for the staff who gives council and help these girls becoming the women God wants them to be.
  • Exalt Jesus who enabled us to reach 6192 youth in 22 schools, of whom 4471 vowed to abstain from sex till marriage and 447 accepted Him as Lord in their lives. Ask the Spirit to remind them about their decisions and to grow spiritually.

ZAMBIA

  • Praise our Provider for His faithfulness. Trust Him to help YfC Zambia to be on the cutting edge in doing evangelism, Discipleship, social involvement and leadership development.
  • Admire the Almighty One for willing members in the National Board. Ask Jesus for wisdom and guidance for all the members as they serve alongside us.
  • Thank the Lord for all ministry done in Mpulungu. Intercede for the meeting with the Mpulungu committee about the way forward as the Stemmet couple relocate to South Africa.
  • Pray for the youth seminar in partnership with New Life Church of New South Wales, Australia in Ndola from 4-8 May.

ZIMBABWE

Sheunesu Masuka [Susan] Susan Masuka [Sheunesu] – Prayer Coordinator

  • Entrust our need for much more rain before the rainy season is over.
  • Appreciate God for the campers who made use of our camp site during April. Ask Him for more campers to utilize our facilities.
  • Glorify Jesus for His prayer, financial and material provision to YfC Zim. Pray that more staff with a conviction to pursue lost youth will join our ranks.
  • Bless the Lord for committed volunteers working with us. Intercede for guidance to plan a national outreach day and that we will make use of all ministry opportunities that come our way.
  • Honour the Father for committed staff & volunteers serving in YfC Zim. Trust the Lord for complete healing for Susan’s back and for clear guidance regarding this problem.
