“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

Please pray for Timothy the son of Martin & Shannon Lord of the South Africa Training Centre CYARA.

This is what Shannon wrote:

Timothy was still in severe pain on Friday morning and his temperature was not under control.  Our GP referred him to a Paediatrician who called in a Orthopaedic Surgeon to consult regarding the matter.  He was admitted on Friday Night to hospital.  They suspected Septic Arthritis (layman’s terms not sure of the clinical name).  They could not get conclusive results from the tests or the MRI and thus operated yesterday afternoon.  The fluid and Biopsy taken have been sent away for tests to establish a proper diagnosis but in the mean time they have begun treatment for Septic Arthritis.  They found a cyst on the joint they suspect could have been there prior to the suspected injury.

His leg is now in a cast and they tell me he will be in hospital till they have the diagnostic results which takes three days from Monday.  He is still feverish but the happiest he has been since Tuesday.  The operation relieved the pressure which has greatly reduced the pain.  He seems so well that I think we should be able to take him home but the doctor disagrees because of the intravenous antibiotics required.

Thanks for all the prayers and concern.
