  • Praise Jesus for faithful staff in the area office and for good World Leadership team meetings for Hilary recently in America. Entrust Hilary, Charles, Danny & Riraqi to Him for wisdom, strength and good health to continue the work.

  • Thank Abba Father for His faithfulness in providing for these departments. Pray for enough resources to run this office and training department effectively, for a full time secretary and an outcome regarding the office – the current owners want to sell the building.
  • Praise Jesus for the work done for the Entry Level Staff training. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance with this training and for the preparations for Competency Development Conference [CDC] 2 in September in Madagascar.
  • Glorify God for a short break for Mpho and his family. Bring the upcoming World Servants outreach in Nelspruit unto Him.
  • Exalt our High Priest for a good trip for EJ to Mozambique and the good board training done there. Entrust his upcoming trip to Swaziland unto Him for wisdom, safety and good health.

EAST AFRICA REGION

East Africa Director: Jean Baptiste Mugarura [Marina]

  • Currently JB is on much needed family leave. Intercede for complete healing for Marina and for strength and stamina for JB and the rest of the family.
  • Bring David Kadalie & Anne Musya-Ngwiri, who are standing in for JB in his region, unto the Spirit for wisdom and guidance.

  • Praise the Lord for faithful staff and volunters serving all over the Island Region. Trust HIM for wisdom and provision to pioneer Reunion and Nation C./Mayotte, also for enough funds to do their ministry well.
  • Honour the Father for every opportunity we have to proclaim the Gospel on the different islands. Pray that He will protect staff, volunteers and Board members who work here.
  • The next round of Competence Development Conferences will start in Madagascar in September. Entrust the organizing of this event unto God – venue, funding, speakers to come and their preparation, delegates to have the means to attend, etc.

WEST AFRICA ANGLOPHONE REGION [WAA]

West Africa Director: Abu S. Conteh [Janet]

  • Lift up in prayer the Ebola virus outbreak –, eradication of the disease, wisdom for the health workers, protection for people, opening up of borders, etc.
  • Bless the Lord for enabling Abu in his role as RD. Ask Him for guidance and wisdom in his daily tasks, to provide for him and for spiritual and physical protection.
  • Glorify the Everlasting King for committed people serving in the WAA. Intercede for the ND’s and Abu to be connected even if he can’t visit them due to the ban on traveling.

  • We are grateful for the YL Co-ordinators from Uganda and Ethiopia who attended YEPT. Ask Jesus to enable staff or volunteers to develop this programme in other nations.

  • Honour our Father for His guidance to Anne. Intercede for her for wisdom in running the YL Programme and for the effective development of this programme.

  • Bless the Lord for the exemption permits of all foreign staff that were granted. Trust Jesus for a fruitful time for the South African team 4-10 July and for a successful outreach to the remote South last week of this month.
  • Exalt our Father for the renovations done on the roof and ceiling of the Tapologo Day Care Centre. Pray for protection for all children during the long school holiday. Pray that they will not get involve in harmful behavior.
  • We are thankful for 8 young people accepting the Lord during an outreach to Malotwana village. Intercede for spiritual growth for all the young people we are working with
  • Honour God for safety on the roads and good health to all staff. Continue to pray for travel mercies during this school holidays as most staff will travel for ministry.

BURKINA FASO

  • Praise God that the children at Bujumbura Future Hope School could finish their school year in the midst of severe political unstableness. Trust Him to enable us to open the Cibitoke Health Centre soon.
  • Glorify the King of kings for the effective discipleship programme for the pupils of 7th & 8th grade of Gitega Future Hope School. Intercede for Graciella and Thacien who are helping these children to grow strong in the Lord.
  • Exalt our Provider for the building work that is still going on at Makamba Future Hope School. Ask Him for the funds to complete the construction work at the schools in time for the start of the next school year in September.

CAMEROON

  • Praise Jesus for Nigeria’s willingness to pioneer Cameroon. Entrust the re-pioneering process into God’s hands.
  • Admire God for the opportunity we have to start working in Cameroon. Ask our Father for wisdom for ongoing ministry.

  • Praise Jesus for Benin’s willingness to pioneer CAR and for Yves’s willingness to start up the work here. Pray that the doors of this country will be lifted up for the King of Glory to enter and for the pioneering to continue.
  • Ask the Spirit for wisdom to accurately communicate YfC vision in this country and that we would be able to do effective spiritual mapping of the area of ministry.
  • Continue to pray for political stability in this country and that reconciliation will take place after the civil war.

  • Praise the Father for Kennedy, one of the Taraja Boys who is now a 4th year student pursuing his university degree. Trust God for a smooth new intake of street boys (7 to 11 years) into Taraja Boys Home from one of the social homes in the city.
  • Bless God for good sexuality teaching by a team of volunteers in Majengo, Isiolo, Nakuru, Kibera & Malindi. Pray for the teenagers in our country to abstain from sex and to take their education seriously in order to break the poverty chain.

LESOTHO

  • We are thankful for a good outreach we had recently. Ask Jesus to remind everyone what they’ve heard from us so that they will grow in their knowledge of God.
  • Praise God for the freedom of sharing the gospel openly. Pray for our movie outreach to be fruitful and ask Him to keep the homeless warm during the very cold season.

  • Extol our Saviour for the fruitful pionering of new YfC ministry going on in many cities all over the country. Intercede for us to complete our Phase 1 pioneering plan soon.
  • Exalt the Lord for effective volunteer mobilizing happening in YfC Tana. Trust the Spirit to enable them in the current discipleship programme for 35 volunteers.
  • Praise Jesus for many young people who committed their lives to Him recently. Pray for spiritual growth for these converts and that they will stand strong in their new-found faith.

  • Honour God for the opportunity to challenge 1400 school learners. Pray that they will continue to chew on the message they’ve heard and will make a decision for Jesus and be serious with their education.
  • We are grateful for our campsite and for the bookings we had in June. Pray that more groups will utilize this facility especially during the week.
  • Glorify the Father for a very successful Prayer Relay last month. Bring the July outreach in partnership with local churches before the Throne of Grace – safe travels, prepared hearts, etc.
  • Exalt our King for the couple who will run our Short Term Missionary Training programme. Pray for many young people to come for this training.
  • Intercede for an end to the extremist attacks on Christians and churches.
  • Praise the Lord for a few National Board of Trustees members. Intercede for them for wisdom and for new members to be added.
  • Appreciate the Father for volunteers who are doing youth ministry. Ask HIM to guide them, the staff and Ali as they reach the youth in Niger.

  • Honour Christ for faithful board members, staff and volunteers. Entrust our need for more people to be added to our workforce.
  • Worship the Father for providing for YfC Nigeria. Pray for new ministry openings across the country.
  • We are grateful for lovely ministry to youth in schools and communities. Trust our Provider for offices rent in 6 locations and other funds and resources needed to do our ministry.

REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

  • Thank God for Chris Harding and the successful coaching training we had in George recently. Pray for the mentor coaches, coaching trainees and those being coached.
  • Exalt our Creator for a wonderful 24-hour prayer event YfC Knysa had. Entrust our need for a new boiler at Cyara Training Centre unto our Provider..
  • We are grateful for the national and centre Boards and the role they play. Intercede for them for wisdom and insight as they serve alongside us.
  • Bless the Father for on-going ministry in East London, Amathunzi, Mpumalanga, George and Kwa-Zulu Natal. Pray for all staff and volunteers to continue with the work they were called for.

 

REUNION

  • Ask the Lord for wisdom and provision so that we would be able to pioneer the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
  • Exalt our Healer for comforting the Mugarura family during Marina’s illness. Intercede for complete healing for her and for strength and stamina for JB and the rest of the family.
  • Glorify God for committed staff & volunteers serving in YfC Rwanda. Trust Him for enough funds and resources to do effective youth ministry, especially another bus to transport the Kigali school children.
  • Bless Jesus for His faithfulness to us. Ask HIM for guidance for board members, staff, volunteers and associates to grow in our faith.
  • Honour the Father for the opportunity for the young leaders to go to Kenya later this month for an outreach. Pray for safe travels, prepared hearts and good health for them while there.
  • Our National Conference and 20th Ministry Anniversary will be next month. Submit the organizing of this event unto God, also for many to attend, etc.

SEYCHELLES

  • Give glory to the Lord for faithful staff & volunteers serving in YfC in Seychelles. Stand with us in prayer for more full time staff & volunteers to join our ranks so that we can extend Campus Life to more schools.
  • Lift Jesus up for some young people who gave their lives to Him. Pray for spiritual growth for them so that they will stand strong in their new-found faith.
  • Exalt our Provider for faithful prayer and financial supporters. Approach Him for potential staff who were identified – Theresa, Jude & Stefan.

 SIERRA LEONE

Abu S. Conteh [Janet]

Favour Conteh – Prayer Coordinator

  • Intercede for wisdom and guidance for our nation so that we would be able to completely get free from the Ebola infection and its influence on the lives of many.
  • Appreciate the Almighty One for committed volunteers, Board and staff members. Ask the Lord of the harvest to connect us with more like-minded partners in reaching the youth of our nation.
  • Ascribe praises to the King of kings for carrying us through this month and a healthy baby girl born for Abu & Janet. Trust Him to enable all of us to reach youth like never before and to keep us safe, physical and spiritually.
  • Thank God for 72 students at the G-21 Vocational Training Centre. Pray that the message of abstinence that we are taking to the schools will be effective.
  • Glorify the Father for enabling us to do youth programmes and training under difficult circumstances. Continue to lay all our ministry needs in front of Him.

SOUTH SUDAN

Clement Sekoto & Mathias Mulumba – Young Pioneers

  • Pray for political & economic stability – wisdom for the government and a spirit of cooperation among the citizens.
  • Praise Jesus for Clement & Mathias’ willingness to pioneer South Sudan. Trust God for suitable partners in doing youth evangelism and discipleship programmes in South Sudan.
  • Ask Jehovah Jireh for everything needed to pioneer this country and for safety for the pioneers as they bring the Gospel in a hostile environment.
  • Honour the Father for a successful sports and life skills training of 17 volunteers in June and for the good partnership between YfC Swaziland and the National Olympic Committee. Trust Him to lead our volunteers who attended the sports training to set up “YFC Sports for all Centres” in their communities.
  • Bless the Lord for our fully functional office. Ask the Spirit for guidance as we continue to reach young people with the Gospel in Swaziland.
  • We are grateful that we got land where we can build our own youth centre. Trust our Provider to sort out the issues that is a hindrance in developing the place.
  • Worship the Saviour for the partnerships we have with some churches and those who start to understand YfC. Bring our need for more volunteers and resources for the ministry in Swaziland unto Jesus.

SWAZILAND

  • Pascal & Esther’s son Clifton was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease. Pray for complete healing for him, for strength for his parents and provision for everything needed.
  • Entrust the pioneering process of Zanzibar into God’s hands, also favour with the government, as we need to register.
  • We are grateful for committed staff working together in unity. Intercede for guidance for all of them in their daily tasks and ask for more international and local volunteers to be added.
  • Thank the Lord for very committed board members. Bring them before the Throne of Grace for wisdom as they serve alongside us.
  • Extol the King of king for the difference our school is making in the lives of students. Pray that the students will draw closer to Him and wisdom for the teachers in dealing with them.

TOGO

  • Thank the Lord for willing people serving on an YfC committee. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct them to people who can serve as National Board members.
  • Honour the Father for enabling Josue to visit Togo recently. Trust God for the right people to serve as full time staff.

UGANDA

Miriam Koote

  • Ask Him for wisdom and provision so that we would be able to pioneer Southern Sudan successfully and for the involvement of Mathias & Clement in this effort.
  • Glorify God for good working relations with local churches. Entrust our continuous working together unto God and for more unity among all the churches.
  • Praise our Provider for looking after us and the commitment from Board members, staff and volunteers. Trust Him to continue to provide everything needed for ministry.
  • Appreciate the Father that Mirembe and Suubi Houses can give a safe place to girls in difficult circumstances. Pray for wisdom for the staff who gives council and help these girls becoming the women God wants them to be.
  • We want to sell one of our properties to buy a bigger place. Ask the Spirit to intervene with the bureaucracy, lead us to the right place and provide enough finances to buy.

ZAMBIA

John Kaniki [ Florence] – Prayer Coordinator

  • Praise our Provider for His faithfulness. Trust Him to help YfC Zambia to be on the cutting edge in doing evangelism, Discipleship, social involvement and leadership development.
  • Admire the Almighty One for willing members in the National Board. Ask Jesus for wisdom and guidance for all the members as they serve alongside us.
  • Thank the Lord for 20 young people who started prayer triplets. Intercede for these young to influence their peers through their prayers.
  • Appreciate God for the campers who made use of our camp site during June. Ask Him for more campers to utilize our facilities.
  • Glorify Jesus for His prayer, financial and material provision to YfC Zim. Stand with us in prayer for resources for the Bulawayo Centre.
  • Bless the Lord for committed staff, volunteers and board members. Intercede for guidance for all of them as they do their daily tasks and for good health during the winter.

ZIMBABWE
