The work and ministry of Youth for Christ throughout Asia Pacific, relies entirely on the generosity of people who believe in the work we do. Our vision is reach every young person within Asia Pacific with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and see them discipled into a local church.
With such a giant task, how do we go about trying to reach so many young people?
First and foremost to resource and empower the indigenous staff and volunteers we have on the ground in each of our nations. Many risk their lives to share Christ, and all of our staff make substantial sacrifices for the work they do. Almost all of our workers lack the resources to be as effective as they would like to be.
Secondly, we aim to fulfil our vision by pioneering the work of Youth for Christ into nations where we currently have no presence. Most of those nations within Asia Pacific are resistant to the Gospel with risk of persecution.
Our third approach is to raise up young evangelists within the nations who will effectively share the love of Christ.
Fourthly we seek out like minded partners to explore the best way we can to work together to reach particular people groups. Our task is so large, working alongside other experienced groups will only enhance our effectiveness.
Finally the Area Office of Asia Pacific ensures that the high standards of Youth for Christ International are upheld within each of our nations such as good stewardship of funds, appropriate leadership and effective ministry methods.
