About Oak House
Youth for Christ invites you to participate in ministry to serve former orphan girls and at risk teens in Kyrgyzstan.
“Oak House” is a shelter for the girls who have graduated from orphanages and have no place to go.
The goal of Oak House is to provide “social help for girls who graduate from the orphanage, integrating these at-risk teenagers into society.”
Aims:
- To save girls after the orphanage from prostitution and trafficking.
- Rehabilitate 30 girls from the orphanage and integrate then into society within 3 years.
- Provide an option for girls to learn professional skills as an alternative to the hard street life.
The Need
At the moment eight girls from the age of 16 to 20 live in the Oak House. The girls are all busy with technical school and once a week they get Bible study classes with the Youth for Christ team. The staff of the house are finding it difficult to provide for the girls’ everyday needs. That’s where you can help!
Budget
The current budget for eight girls for one month is $300.
However, with your help, we would like to increase our monthly budget to $855.
Prayer Needs
Thank you for also praying with us as we venture to start a small home business.
