Visualize this–70,000 people packing out a majestic stadium. A 5,000 voice choir, 300-piece band, and eight grand pianos leading music. A world-record holding athlete running the track. A soldier just back from the war talking about his very real relationship with Jesus. A popular and dynamic preacher sharing about how others can have that kind of relationship too.
Hundreds responding to the call to follow Jesus.
Or what about this—a young woman, determined to reach young people for Jesus, setting out on a solo trek across the Xinjiang region of China. Finding no transportation to get where she needs to go, buys a horse and some sheep. Riding 14 days, eating the sheep along the way, until she finally can catch a bus. All so that she can begin a ministry in difficult regions of China and Afghanistan.
And young people, even in very remote and hostile regions, are hearing about Jesus.
Calling. Courage. Compassion. Creativity. Commitment. All hallmarks of the amazing legacies people like you are leaving through their involvement with Youth for Christ International.
The first story happened 71 years ago this month at Soldier’s Field in Chicago. It happened because people like you were praying and supporting it. One went so far as to mortgage his house to rent the stadium. The second story happened recently. It is another example of the kind of outreach—visionary, courageous, astounding–that you are doing when you partner with Youth for Christ International.
