  • Praise Jesus for faithful staff in the area office. Entrust Hilary, Charles, Danny & Riraqi to Him for wisdom, strength and good health to continue the work.

  • We are grateful for God’s faithful provision to the ALT. Trust our Provider for finances enabling them to attend ALT meetings and to visit the nations in their regions, also for safe travels.

  • Thank Abba Father for His faithfulness in providing for these departments. Pray for enough resources to run this office and training department effectively and for a full time secretary.
  • Praise Jesus for all the work we could do in May. Bring Mpho and his involvement with the World Servants programme unto God for guidance in organizing the different projects and his pioneering of new ministry ventures.
  • Exalt our High Priest for 2 good conferences last month, World-wide Regional Directors conference 11-17 May and YEPT (Young Evangelist Pioneering training) 15-22 May. Entrust EJ’s upcoming trips this month unto Him for wisdom, safety and good health.
  • We want to re-pioneer YFC in Malawi. Pray for wisdom as we work on this.

EAST AFRICA REGION

East Africa Director: Jean Baptiste Mugarura [Marina]

  • Currently JB is on much needed family leave. Intercede for complete healing for Marina and for strength and stamina for JB and the rest of the family.
  • Bring David Kadalie & Anne Musya-Ngwiri, who are standing in for JB in his region, unto the Spirit for wisdom and guidance.
  • Appreciate the Holy One for strong ministry across the East Africa Region. Trust Him to enable staff, volunteers and board members to reach the youth of their nations.
  • Continue bringing Burundi‘s Presidential elections unto Jesus, praying for the pre-election violence to stop and safety for citizens.

  • Glorify God for good health for Josue, Prisca and the 2 boys. Trust HIM for strength, health, spiritual growth and financial provision for them.
  • Thank our Provider for providing for the Akowanou family and a safe trip for Josue to South Africa last month. Submit his travelling plans in the region unto Him.
  • Pray that a vibrant YfC ministry will start and continue in every French speaking country.
  • Pray for peace and stability in this region especially against the extremist groups being very active, protection for people and changed hearts.

  • Praise the Lord for faithful staff and volunters serving all over the Island Region. Trust HIM for wisdom and provision to pioneer Reunion and Nation C./Mayotte, also for enough funds to do their ministry well.
  • Honour the Father for every opportunity we have to proclaim the Gospel on the different islands. Pray that He will protect staff, volunteers and Board members who work here

WEST AFRICA ANGLOPHONE REGION [WAA]

West Africa Director: Abu S. Conteh [Janet]

  • Lift up in prayer the Ebola virus outbreak –, eradication of the disease, wisdom for the health workers, protection for people, opening up of borders, etc.
  • Bless the Lord for enabling Abu in his role as RD. Ask Him for guidance and wisdom in his daily tasks, to provide for him and for spiritual and physical protection.
  • Glorify the Everlasting King for committed people serving in the WAA. Intercede for the ND’s and Abu to be connected even if he can’t visit them due to the ban on travelling.

  • We are grateful for the YL Co-ordinators from Uganda and Ethiopia who attended YEPT. Ask Jesus to enable staff or volunteers to develop this programme in other nations.

  • Honour our Father for His guidance to Anne. Intercede for her for wisdom in running the YL Programme and for the effective development of this programme.

  • Bless the Lord for the exemption permits of the Rabie family that was granted and Em and Maruping’s papers that were handed in. Trust Jesus for favour with the Home Affairs office in granting these permits.
  • Exalt our Father for the money that came in to fix the roof and ceiling of the Tapologo Day Care Centre. Pray fir wisdom to spend the money wisely and that this task will be completed as soon as possible.
  • We are thankful for good Children’s ministry training recently. Intercede for the trainees to implement what they’ve learned and for success for us in planning 3 children’s holiday programmes in different villages next month.

BURKINA FASO

  • Trust the Prince of Peace for peace in the country and political stability, after the president resigned.
  • We are grateful for the smooth running of the primary & secondary education institution. Intercede for staff and teachers to make a positive impact in the lives of all the learners.
  • Honour Jesus for committed staff & volunteers in YfC Burkina Faso. Ask the Spirit to guide Paul, staff and volunteers in their daily tasks and for physical and spiritual well-being.

BURUNDI

  • Continue bringing Burundi‘s Presidential elections unto Jesus, praying for the pre-election violence to stop and safety for citizens.
  • Thank Jesus that Jean Paul could go to South Africa for the YEPT conference. Pray for wisdom for him and everyone involved to pioneer new areas in Burundi.
  • Glorify the King of kings that we could open the Makamba House of Hope. Trust Him for enough funds for the Makamba project as well as for the completion of all other building projects.
  • Praise God that the children at Gitega International Academy could finish their school year in the midst of the severe unstable situation, due to election violence. Continue to pray for a committed person to serve as headmaster at this school.
  • Exalt our Creator for enabling us to support the ministry with a fish project, raising pigs and maize. Ask Him for a good harvest and for a reliable electricity source for the schools and the Homes of Hope.
  • Praise Jesus for Nigeria’s willingness to pioneer Cameroon. Entrust the re-pioneering process into God’s hands.
  • Admire God for the opportunity we have to start working in Cameroon. Ask our Father for wisdom for ongoing ministry.

  • Praise Jesus for Benin’s willingness to pioneer CAR and for Yves’s willingness to start up the work here. Pray that the doors of this country will be lifted up for the King of Glory to enter and for the pioneering to continue.
  • Ask the Spirit for wisdom to accurately communicate YfC vision in this country and that we would be able to do effective spiritual mapping of the area of ministry.
  • Continue to pray for political stability in this country and that reconciliation will take place after the civil war.

  • Praise Jesus for Madagascar’s willingness to pioneer Nation C. Entrust the pioneering and ministry development process into God’s hands.
  • Honour the Father for good relations with some churches and missionaries on the islands. Ask for spiritual growth for all who’ve been reached and for safety of all the Brethren.
  • Thank God for the opportunity to reach students from this nation at university in Madagascar. Intercede for M. for strategies to bring the Gospel in a relevant way to these students.

 

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO

  • Pray for political stability in our nation, wisdom for the government.
  • Honour Jesus for Burundi & Rwanda’s willingness to re-pioneer DRC. Entrust this process into God’s hands.
  • Praise the Father for His presence in our ministry. Intercede for wisdom for Rodger in Kinshasa, for Levy in Goma and for a good relationship with local churches.
  • Ask God for more volunteers and staff members also people who can serve as National Board members.

ETHIOPIA

  • Thank the King of kings for sending Biruck and Getu to South Africa for the YEPT conference. Trust Him to raise up more people in Ethiopia to do pioneering inland as well as in neighbouring Somaliland.

  • We are grateful for local and foreign volunteers serving alongside us. Ask God for guidance for staff, volunteers and Board members.
  • Bless the Lord for every opportunity we have to bring the Good News to schools in the country. Intercede for success in our adult literacy classes and that young people will practice what we taught them.
  • Glorify our Father for His faithfulness in more than one way to us. Pray that we would be able to develop our land into a multi-purpose centre.
  • Praise God for wonderful results that our Zoe school got – the 10th best primary school in the country with a 100% pass rate! Submit all the learners unto the Father for salvation and spiritual growth.

GHANA

  • Honour Jesus for a good time and safe travels for Anna to South Africa last month. Commit our YfC@40 celebrations unto Him in order for each event to serve its purpose.
  • Glorify Jesus for successful Crisis Pregnancy training in Limuru. Trust God to enable the trainees to put into practice what they’ve learned.
  • Praise the Father for beginning a new YfC chapter in Majengo. Pray that Board members, staff & volunteers will hear and do exactly what God wants us to do.
  • Bless God for openings across the country to reach young people. Pray for the upcoming high school outreaches to Meru, Narok, Nakuru, & Malindi – planning logistics, preparation of the teams and funding for the outreaches.

LESOTHO

  • Entrust our government unto the prince of Peace in order for complete political stability to return to Lesotho.
  • Honour Jesus for faithful staff, volunteers and Board members. Intercede for the current Board members to be committed and for more full time staff to help reaching the youth of Lesotho.
  • We are thankful for the young people we are reaching. Ask Jesus to help them grow closer to Him.
  • Thank God for the place in Khubetsoana that we can use. Pray that we will grab all opportunities to speak into the lives of young people.

LIBERIA

  • We are delighted that the Ebola restrictions were lifted from our country. Continue to intercede for no more new infections and healing for the affected.
  • Appreciate the Almighty One for committed volunteers, Board and staff members. Trust Him to protect us and our loved ones from attracting Ebola and ask for comfort for the many people who lost family members.
  • Due to this disease our ministry suffers a lot. Pray for wisdom for us how to do our work in the midst of serious difficulty.
  • Ask the Provider for provision for the many orphans due to the Ebola crisis.

 

MADAGASCAR

  • Thank God for the funding received from Foundation of the Nations. Ask our Father to help us to put this money to good use in building the centre in Tana.
  • Extol our Saviour for the social involvemnet outreach done in Antsirabe prison and for the launch of the radio ministry here. Intercede for guidance in training leaders, for their coaching and selecting the right ministries in order to empower us to bring even more young people into the Kingdom.
  • Exalt the Lord for Mamy from Bokaro who could attend the YEPT conference in South Africa. Trust the Spirit to enable YfC Moramanga to deal swiftly with the paper work related to building their centre.
  • Praise Jesus for a good time for Ravo in South Africa last month. Pray for wisdom for them to implement the Masterplan strategy.

  • Praise the Lord for the 343 young people we could reach in Maqueze and 2 who gave their lives to Him at Bethel. Intercede for the upcoming camp we plan in Maqueze with the Secondary School.
  • We are grateful for the ministry in Marracuene. Entrust the community evangelism being done here unto Jesus.

NAMIBIA

  • Honour El Elyon for His protection and provision this past month. Submit our need for more board members, staff & volunteers to Him and for guidance for each one of us in ministry.
  • We are grateful for our campsite and for the bookings we had in May. Pray that more groups will utilize this facility especially during the week.
  • Glorify the Father for the opportunities we have in working in schools after the school holidays. Bring the Prayer Relay on the 06th unto Him so that many will join us.
  • Exalt our King for the couple who will run our Short Term Missionary Training programme. Pray for many young people to come for this training.
  • Intercede for an end to the extremist attacks on Christians and churches.
  • Praise the Lord for a few National Board of Trustees members. Intercede for them for wisdom and for new members to be added.
  • Appreciate the Father for volunteers who are doing youth ministry. Ask HIM to guide them, the staff and Ali as they reach the youth in Niger.
  • We are grateful for the YfC School and that children get education here. Trust the Spirit to enable teachers to bring children to Him and that the efforts to disciple youth in church youth groups will be fruitful.
  • We honour God for His faithfulness, especially during the December camp. Pray for continued provision and to remind youth about their decisions for Him.

NIGER

  • Pray for guidance and provision so that we would be able to pioneer Cameroon successfully.
  • Extol the Almighty for His protection upon staff, volunteers and board members. Ask Him to enable us to complete the campsite at Aaye.
  • Honour Christ for faithful board members, staff and volunteers. Entrust our need for new national board members unto Him.
  • Worship the Father for providing for YfC Nigeria. Commit staff & volunteers to Him, so that we will do our best in 2015 and ask for new clubs to start in Akure, Lagos & FCT.
  • We are grateful for lovely youth ministry in 9 states of our country. Trust our Provider for offices in Lagos, Kaduna & Lafia.

REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

Dean Edwall – National Director

  • Thank God for the fruitful outreach of the Gap year team in Mpumalanga. Submit this team and their journeys for the rest of the year to Christ.
  • Exalt our Creator for all the camps at Cyara and the Training Centre this past month. Pray for good health for the staff especially Eddie who is still in hospital and Rebecca who awaits test results.
  • We are grateful for good Coaching Training in George and fruitful SALT meetings at Amathunzi. Trust the Spirit to enable YfC Amathunzi to reach out in a sensible way to local farmers and their workers.
  • YfC KZN is thankful for Queen Zondi who will be working in the Kayalethu project. Ask our Father for a good AGM for them and that YfC East London would be able to sell their house soon.

 

REUNION

Favour Conteh – Prayer Coordinator

  • Intercede for wisdom and guidance for our nation so that we would be able to completely get free from the Ebola infection and its influence on the lives of many.
  • Appreciate the Almighty One for committed volunteers, Board and staff members. Trust Him to enable all of us to reach youth like never before and to continue helping people who suffered greatly during the Ebola outbreak.
  • We are grateful that the schools and educational institutions re-opened after being closed for 9 months due to Ebola. Pray that students will be studious in continuing with their education.
  • Thank God that the Operation Hannah prayer ministry is going strong. Intercede for young people to not get discouraged, to keep themselves safe and be protected, embracing abstinence as a lifestyle.
  • Glorify the Father for His care and protection upon us, especially with the Ebola crisis and that we could minister to many. Continue to lay all our ministry needs in front of Him and to connect us with like-minded partners.
  • Bring Abu and his family unto the Holy Spirit for comfort after his mother died.

SOUTH SUDAN

Clement Sekoto & Mathias Mulumba – Young Pioneers

  • Pray for political & economic stability – wisdom for the government and a spirit of cooperation among the citizens.
  • Praise Jesus for Clement & Mathias’ willingness to pioneer South Sudan. Trust God for suitable partners in doing youth evangelism and discipleship programmes in South Sudan.
  • Ask Jehovah Jireh for everything needed to pioneer this country and for safety for the pioneers as they bring the Gospel in a hostile environment.
  • Honour the Father for a few faithful National Board members. Submit them to the Father to take the work to the next level and that the new members will grasp the YfC vision.
  • Bless the Lord for ongoing ministry. Ask God to enable us to implement the sports programme we are planning and that the school programme will start after the school holidays.
  • We are grateful that we got land where we can build our own youth centre. Trust our Provider to sort out the issues that is a hindrance in developing the place.
  • Bring our need for more volunteers and resources for the ministry in Swaziland unto Jesus.
  • Pascal & Esther’s son Clifton was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease. Pray for complete healing for him, for strength for his parents and provision for everything needed.
  • Entrust the pioneering process of Zanzibar into God’s hands, also favour with the government, as we need to register.
  • We are grateful for committed staff working together in unity. Intercede for guidance for all of them in their daily tasks and ask for more international and local volunteers to be added.
  • Thank the Lord for very committed board members. Bring them before the Throne of Grace for wisdom as they serve alongside us.

SWAZILAND

Bongani Dlamini [Khumbuh]

  • Honour the Father for a few faithful National Board members. Submit them to the Father to take the work to the next level and that the new members will grasp the YfC vision.

  • Pascal & Esther’s son Clifton was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease. Pray for complete healing for him, for strength for his parents and provision for everything needed.
  • Entrust the pioneering process of Zanzibar into God’s hands, also favour with the government, as we need to register.
  • We are grateful for committed staff working together in unity. Intercede for guidance for all of them in their daily tasks and ask for more international and local volunteers to be added.
  • Thank the Lord for very committed board members. Bring them before the Throne of Grace for wisdom as they serve alongside us.
  • Extol the King of king for the difference our school is making in the lives of students. Pray that the students will draw closer to Him and wisdom for the teachers in dealing with them.

TOGO

Guiles Estsi – Contact person

  • Thank the Lord for willing people serving on an YfC committee. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct them to people who can serve as National Board members.
  • Honour the Father for enabling Josue to visit Togo recently. Trust God for the right people to serve as full time staff.

UGANDA

Miriam Koote

Petua Nankya – Prayer Coordinator

  • Ask Him for wisdom and provision so that we would be able to pioneer Southern Sudan successfully and for the involvement of Mathias & Clement in this effort.
  • Glorify God for good working relations with local churches. Entrust our continuous working together unto God and for more unity among all the churches.
  • Praise our Provider for looking after us and the commitment from Board members, staff and volunteers. Trust Him to continue to provide everything needed for ministry, especially a bigger property to build our offices.
  • Appreciate the Father that Mirembe and Suubi Houses can give a safe place to girls in difficult circumstances. Pray for wisdom for the staff who gives council and help these girls becoming the women God wants them to be, also His leading in maybe selling Mirembe house.
  • Exalt Jesus for the open doors for ministry we have in Uganda. Ask the Spirit to help us to put evangelism and discipleship in the centre of our ministry.

ZAMBIA

John Kaniki [ Florence] – Prayer Coordinator

  • Praise our Provider for His faithfulness. Trust Him to help YfC Zambia to be on the cutting edge in doing evangelism, Discipleship, social involvement and leadership development.
  • Admire the Almighty One for willing members in the National Board. Ask Jesus for wisdom and guidance for all the members as they serve alongside us.
  • Thank the Lord for all ministry being done in Mpulungu. Intercede for the staff working here to reach out even more to the youth of the area.
  • Appreciate God for the campers who made use of our camp site during May. Ask Him for more campers to utilize our facilities.
  • Glorify Jesus for His prayer, financial and material provision to YfC Zim. Pray that more staff with a conviction to pursue lost youth will join our ranks.
  • Bless the Lord for committed staff, volunteers and board members. Intercede for guidance for all of them as they do their daily tasks.

ZIMBABWE

  • Appreciate God for the campers who made use of our camp site during May. Ask Him for more campers to utilize our facilities.
  • Glorify Jesus for His prayer, financial and material provision to YfC Zim. Pray that more staff with a conviction to pursue lost youth will join our ranks.
  • Bless the Lord for committed staff, volunteers and board members. Intercede for guidance for all of them as they do their daily tasks.
  • Honour the Father for protecting Susan when she was involved in a car accident. Continue to trust the Lord for complete healing for her back.
